Optional modules

Switch on the modules and features your account uses. Each card has one switch, and all of them start off.

Before you start

  • Where: Settings → Global Settings (https://platform.vivin.app/settings), below Min/Max Stay Defaults. See Global Settings for the order of all cards.
  • Plan: every account can turn these on.
  • Permissions: Account Settings → Module and Account Settings → Preferences. Super Admin and Admin have both by default. Some modules then need their own role permission to use, noted below.

Each card has a pencil to edit it, then Save or Cancel.

What happens when you save

  • The module appears, or disappears, for everyone on the account the next time a page loads. Tabs and menu entries that depend on it follow.
  • Turning a module off hides it but keeps its data. Turn it back on and the data is there again.
  • Turning Enable tenant categories off does not stop assigned categories from applying their rules.

Troubleshooting

  • "Pick at least one component — Planning cannot compare a target against nothing. To hide the module, turn the switch above off.": tick at least one component under What counts as actual revenue.
  • A module is on but a teammate cannot see it: their role lacks the module's own permission, such as Planning → Module. Change it in Users.

Tips

  • Turn a module on before you look for its tab. Surveys, Owner Reports, Planning, Inventory and Check-in / out stay hidden until you do.
